Personal Reflection

After learning more about leadership in digital marketing I honestly see it in a completely different way now. I used to think it was just about managing social media accounts or posting content but now I realize it’s way more about creativity, strategy, and understanding people.

The biggest thing I learned is how fast everything changes. Trends don’t last long at all so leaders really have to be flexible and willing to adapt quickly instead of sticking to one fixed plan. The Duolingo example stood out to me the most because it showed that brands don’t always have to be serious to be successful. Being funny and relatable actually helped them connect with people more.

I also realized how important data is. Even though creativity is a huge part of social media you still need analytics to guide decisions. The best leaders are the ones who can balance both instead of relying on just one.

Going forward I think I’ll focus more on staying open to change and being willing to try new ideas. I also think authenticity is really important because people can tell when a brand is being fake. To me good leadership in digital marketing is about being real, building trust, and actually connecting with people.
